Monu Goyat, also known as ‘Silent Killer’, 1 was born on Sunday, October 16, 1994 (age 36 years; as of 2023) in Kungar village, Bhiwani district, Haryana. He is a resident of Hansi, Haryana. Monu Goyat joined the Indian Army in 2011 through the sports quota and played regularly for services in national tournaments. His coach during this time was Jasvir Singh. Due to the regulations of the Army, he wasn’t able to play the first three seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League. Representing the Services Sports Control Board, he reached the finals of the 65th Senior National Championships in 2017. He continued to perform well for services and was eventually chosen to play for Bengal Warriors in Season 4 (2016.)
International Career
In 2018, he was part of the India national kabaddi team that won a bronze medal at the Asian Games. Monu made an excellent performance for the Indian team in 2018 which helped the team win gold at the Dubai Kabaddi Masters.
Pro Kabaddi League
Monu began his journey in Pro Kabaddi League by joining Bengal Warriors in the 4th season in 2016. In his debut season, he scored 59 points while raiding and 4 while tackling in 13 games.
He became an important scorer for the team and was enlisted among the top 15 raiders of the season. In the 5th season, he played for Patna Pirates and scored a personal best of 191 raid points and 11 tackle points in 26 matches.
In the 6th season, he signed up with Haryana Steelers for a massive amount of 1.51 Crore rupees. He performed exceptionally well by scoring 164 points in 20 matches, including 3 super raids and 10 super 10s.
However, he got released by Haryana Steelers for the 7th season and got bought by U.P Yodha for 93 Lakhs. He scored 65 raid points and 5 tackle points in 14 matches for the U.P Yodha team.
For season 8, Monu played for the Patna Pirates, and for season 9 with Telugu Titans.
