Pro Kabaddi League

Amit Hooda made his debut in the Pro Kabaddi League during Season 2, playing as a substitute for the Patna Pirates. Since then, he has become an experienced player in the league and has represented three different teams. He initially played for the Patna Pirates in the first two seasons of the PKL. Later, he was a part of the Jaipur Pink Panthers in Season 4. However, for Seasons 5 and 6, he joined the Tamil Thalaivas, becoming their highest-paid player with a contract worth Rs 69.3 lakhs. After that, he returned to the Jaipur Pink Panthers for Season 7, signing a contract for 53 lakhs rupees.

Throughout his PKL journey, Amit Hooda has shown impressive defensive skills. In Season 5, he delivered a remarkable performance, securing 61 tackle points, ranking seventh among all players. He also finished second in the defender’s table with 51 tackle points. Notably, his contributions were instrumental in Patna Pirates’ title-winning campaign in Season 3.

As of the end of Season 6, Amit was featured in 72 matches in the PKL. He achieved a total of 202 points, which consists of 9 raid points and 193 tackle points. Season 7 saw him forming a solid defensive duo with Sandeep Dhull for the Jaipur Pink Panthers. His stats include 15 super tackles and 9 high 5s with an average of 2.46 tackle points per match, making him one of the most reliable defenders in the league. While Amit Hooda’s performance in Season 4 with Jaipur Pink Panthers was consistent and appreciated, his time with Tamil Thalaivas in Season 6 saw a dip in form. Nevertheless, he received recognition for his defensive skills during Season 3, even though he was often used as a substitute.

In Season 7, Amit and the Jaipur Pink Panthers faced challenges, with the team failing to qualify, and their defense struggled during the latter half of the season.
