He studied at Government Senior Secondary School, Dehlan, Himachal. Vishal, a sports enthusiast, initially pursued basketball during his school days. However, his true passion for kabaddi developed later. Encouraged by the coach, he transitioned to kabaddi and actively participated in numerous domestic and district-level tournaments, representing his school. He has completed his BA from Government College, Una. Also, He is a graduate of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Sonepat, Haryana.

Pro Kabaddi League
In the 4th season of the Pro Kabaddi League, Vishal Bhardwaj was acquired by the Telegu Titans. Impressed by his performance, the team decided to retain him for the subsequent 5th, 6th, and 7th seasons as well. Although he spent most of his time on the bench during Season 4, Vishal showcased his talent in 2 matches, making a notable impact by scoring 6 tackle points. During the 5th season of the Pro Kabaddi League, Vishal Bhardwaj finally got the opportunity to demonstrate his true potential, and he excelled in making the most of it. In a total of 22 matches, he succeded in securing 5 High 5s during the season. In recognition of his remarkable gameplay, Vishal Bhardwaj was positioned as the captain of his team during the 6th season of the Pro Kabaddi League.
