Jeeva began his professional career by qualifying for the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League in 2014. In the inaugural PKL season, he was picked by U Mumba and displayed an astonishing performance, securing 16 tackle points in 9 matches. Impressed with his capabilities, U Mumba retained him for the next three PKL seasons.
During the second season, Jeeva Kumar scored 1 raid point and an impressive 38 tackle points in 13 matches, including a remarkable 7 Super Tackles. His outstanding defensive skills earned him the reputation of being the best defender of the season, and he played a pivotal role in leading U Mumba to victory, securing their first PKL title. In the subsequent season, Jeeva Kumar maintained his consistency and contributed with 31 tackle points in 16 matches. However, his performance dipped slightly in the fourth PKL season, where he managed to score only 26 tackle points in 14 matches. Following his release from U Mumba, Jeeva Kumar was signed by U.P Yodha for the fifth season and retained with the team until the next season. He had an exceptional season with U.P Yodha, achieving his personal best in PKL tackle points with an impressive 44 and securing 7 Super Tackles in 22 matches.
In the sixth season, he continued to impress with U.P Yodha, scoring 40 tackle points and executing 1 Super Tackle in 19 matches. Subsequently, in the seventh season, Jeeva Kumar joined Bengal Warriors and played a vital role in the team’s success, scoring a total of 39 points in 22 matches. His consistent performances throughout the season significantly contributed to Bengal Warriors’ triumph as they secured their first PKL title.
